As an Analytical Chemist at Pharmaron’s Rushden site, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality analytical services within a regulated laboratory environment. This hands-on role involves supporting stability studies, performing routine and non-routine analyses, and maintaining compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. You will work closely with senior analysts and technical specialists, gaining exposure to a wide range of analytical techniques including chromatography, particle size distribution, and spectrometry. What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC and other chromatographic methods under GLP/GMP conditions.
  • Support stability studies by preparing samples, running analyses, and assisting with data interpretation and documentation.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, ensuring readiness for testing and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot analytical issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Assist in writing technical reports and maintaining accurate laboratory records.
  • Work within a structured QC team, contributing to shared goals and supporting cross-functional projects.


What We're Looking For

  • Practical experience in a regulated laboratory environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Familiarity with GLP and GMP standards and their application in analytical testing.
  • Hands-on experience with chromatography techniques, particularly HPLC.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality data.
  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in additional techniques such as PSD, NMR, and mass spectrometry.
  • Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to contribute to technical challenges.


What You'll Need

  • A degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Some experience working in a laboratory setting, either through industry placement, academic research, or previous employment.
  • Basic understanding of analytical techniques and regulatory compliance.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
