Card Factory

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Wakefield
Contract type: Full time
About The Job

Are you great with numbers, love a bit of planning, and enjoy making sure everything’s in the right place at the right time? We’re looking for an Allocator to join our brilliant Business Development team here at cardfactory.

You’ll play a key role in making sure our partners get the stock they need, when they need it – helping us deliver fantastic customer service every single day. This role is all about working closely with the wider Partnerships team to keep things running smoothly, especially during seasonal events and exciting new store launches. If you’re organised, proactive, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a hybrid role based at our Wakefield Head Office, just off Junction 31 of the M1, with 2–3 days a week spent in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Managing customer stock at both product and store level, you’ll be making sure everything is where it needs to be. You’ll work on improving forecast accuracy, which helps guide stock buys and markdowns, always looking for ways to make things better. Each week, you’ll produce reports that support the Merchandise and Accounts teams by tracking availability, deliveries, and operational costs.

You’ll also support the Assistant Merchandiser and the Supply Chain Team in planning customer picking and delivery schedules. By reviewing future sales demand at store level, you’ll help maximise availability and reduce the risk of stock write-offs. You’ll make sure new ranges and seasonal launches are delivered on time and are available in stores when they should be.

Keeping our systems accurate will be part of your day-to-day, which means maintaining correct stock records and processing any adjustments properly. You’ll also lend a hand with regular stock counts and take responsibility for making sure all customer paperwork is accurate and ready to support stock deliveries.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Someone who’s self-driven and happy working independently
  • Great communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Experience in a similar role or working with allocation/supply chain systems would be a big plus
