Overview

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Expert to drive our artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives, with a special focus on product innovation. In this role, you will evaluate and validate new product concepts, work closely with the Product Innovation team to assess technical feasibility, and leverage AI/ML techniques to forecast product success. You'll lead a team of data scientists and ML engineers while serving as a key technical advisor for product development decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models and AI systems
  • Collaborate intensively with the Product Innovation team to evaluate new product concepts and predict market success
  • Build predictive models to assess product viability, market fit, and potential ROI
  • Develop data-driven frameworks for go/no-go decisions on product concepts
  • Establish best practices for AI/ML development, testing, and deployment
  • Mentor and manage a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers
  • Translate business problems into ML solutions and determine appropriate algorithms and techniques
  • Develop strategies for data collection, annotation, and quality assurance
  • Work with engineering teams to implement ML models into production systems
  • Stay current with state-of-the-art AI/ML research and technologies
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in AI/ML teams
  • Experience with predictive modeling for product success metrics
  • Background in using data science for product validation and market analysis
  • Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
  • Experience with data infrastructure, MLOps, and ML model deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices (version control, testing, CI/CD)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in product analytics and forecasting product performance
  • Background in market analysis using machine learning techniques
  • Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental design
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior modeling and preference prediction
  • Experience in specific domains (NLP, computer vision, recommender systems, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their ML offerings
  • Knowledge of distributed computing and large-scale data processing
  • Background in data engineering and database technologies
  • Publication record in AI/ML conferences or journals
  • Experience with responsible AI practices and fairness in machine learning
