AI Finance Engineer

Nume is building the world's first AI CFO. Our goal is to provide founders with the same financial clarity and decision support they would expect from a world-class CFO. We are turning real financial workflows into intelligent agents that founders can rely on.

We are looking for an AI Finance Engineer who can bridge deep financial expertise with structured thinking and technical curiosity. This is not a traditional finance role. You will teach AI how finance actually works, define our logic frameworks, evaluate output quality and help productize management finance for thousands of companies.

What You Will Do

• Translate budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance methodologies into step-by-step agent logic

• Evaluate agent outputs for accuracy, soundness and practical relevance

• Build and refine our eval frameworks

• Write product requirements that translate financial problems into engineering-ready logic

• Build quick prototypes and scripts that demonstrate how agents should behave

• Work closely with the COO, CPO and CTO in a cross-functional product environment

• 2 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, finance management, or CFO services

• You have seen the full finance cycle in an SME or startup

• You understand what good financial analysis looks like

• You have built dashboards, tools, automations or scripts

• You think in frameworks, logic and structured steps

• You are curious about AI and enjoy experimenting with new tools

• You want to be part of defining a new discipline

You will work directly with the CPO, COO and CTO to translate real financial thinking into the logic and systems that power the product. Very few finance roles give you this level of influence over product decisions, engineering direction and the core intelligence of the company.
