The role: - 1 Year FTC
The role of Director of Advice Support is to lead and support the delivery of SJPWM's Advice proposition to Partners, clients and other stakeholders. The main purpose of the role of Director of Advice Support is to provide high performance leadership and management to the Advice Support Teams, including Private Clients, Vulnerable clients and Technical Connection and develop how they deliver support.
In performing the role, the jobholder will take into account the interests of the Group’s key stakeholders. In particular, acting in line with the Group’s stated risk appetite and seeking to achieve positive outcomes in respect of clients, Partners, financials and shareholders, regulators and employees.

What you'll be doing:
- To lead, manage and develop the Advice Support Teams to operate as high-performance teams with a focus on delivery capability of Individuals, people leadership (for people managers), career development and service delivery
- To set the Advice Support teams up to effectively and efficiently support delivery of the advice proposition. In particular, ensuring SJPWM's ARs have access to the right technical, consultancy and advice support (including for clients with characteristics of vulnerability) to deliver good outcomes to clients, in line with industry best practice, complying with all regulation and legislation and within SJP’s risk appetite
- To support the Director of Advice Policy and Operations to set the standard for high performance leadership across the Division; providing thought leadership and commentary on all matters related to leadership and to develop future managers and leaders, working closely with the Head of Advice to ensure appropriate career development plans and technical training are accessible
- To be an advocate for the value of advice, enhancing the reputation of SJP as the UK’s leading provider of invaluable advice
- To manage certified Individuals under SMCR
- Experience of P&L Management
- Significant 2nd Line Management experience
- Experience of managing an operational delivery team that has delivered a proposition into a distribution business
- Past experience of driving and delivering change programmes of work
- Extensive Advice Delivery experience in the Wealth Management space
