Description

We are looking for a talented Administrative Associate to join our team specialising in Engineering for our Cummins Emissions Solutions Business Unit in Darlington, United Kingdom.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week onsite.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supporting a Diverse Team: Provide administrative support to engineer leads and engineers across the Cummins Emissions Solutions business unit in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
  • Comprehensive Administrative Support: Handle routine to complex information requests and prepare documents to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the team.
  • Visitor and Inquiry Management: Respond to or redirect inquiries and receive visitors, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and promptly.
  • Efficient Data Management: Gather, compile, and input data accurately to ensure reliable information for decision-making.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct research and prepare statistical reports to keep the team informed and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and submit documentation for payments to ensure vendors and suppliers are paid on time, maintaining good relationships.
  • Policy Documentation: Document and maintain departmental policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in business improvement projects to foster teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Effective Communication Skills: Be an outgoing and personable individual who is comfortable collaborating with colleagues across the organisation. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential due to the high level of interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Planning and Alignment: Plan and prioritise work to meet commitments aligned with organisational goals. Excellent attention to detail is crucial.
  • Action Orientation: Tackle new opportunities and challenges with urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Self-motivation and a positive attitude are key.
  • Data Analytics and Visualisation: Interpret and communicate data to extract meaningful insights. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel, is important.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Requires relevant work experience or specialised skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Transferable skills from areas such as event planning and coordination, executive assistance, or other roles involving international administrative support and coordination are advantageous.
