Position Description
Position Summary
Adjunct faculty will teach in person on an as-needed basis for the Psychology program in the Department of Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Sociology.
For Spring 2026, duties include the following teaching assignments: PSYC 441 History and Systems of Psychology on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:55-1:10 PM, in-person.
Responsibilities
General: Prepare lesson plans, quizzes, exams: teach course material, provide feedback and grades throughout the semester. Ability to teach in-person course; Canvas LMS is beneficial.
Specific to the class taught; will be communicated on an individual basis.
Qualifications
Professional expertise. Relevant doctorate is preferred but not required. Teaching experience preferred. Candidate should have a commitment to excellence in teaching in a Christian Liberal Arts setting.
The Program
Our programs explicitly integrate Christian perspectives with disciplinary philosophical and ethical issues encountered while studying Sociology, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, and Urban Studies.
We are committed to the integration of faith in the classroom, service to the community, as well as social science perspectives and research methods.
The Department
Faculty hold advanced degrees from quality universities and have extensive practical experience in research and social service programs and administration.
Faculty represent diversity of age, perspective and experience. Innovative approaches to teaching and learning through use of technology and a wide range of classroom experiences.
