About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity has come available for a Medical Administrator to join our ADHD Service in Canterbury.
Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Administration of ADHD caseload across the lifespan.
- Ensuring medication reviews are carried out on time as per protocol and nice guidelines, sending out reminders to patients when required.
- Contacting patients/parents to arrange medication review appointments.
- Monitoring ADHD medication review stages within Iaptus to ensure appointments are booked as clinically required.
- Ensure medication review letters are sent out within 5 working days.
- Managing NHS prescriptions including logging new pads and ensuring audit trail for each prescription.
- Completing shared care forms on behalf of doctors once patients are stable.
- Booking follow up medication review appointments at agreed intervals as per prescribing protocol.
- Obtaining information from doctors and ensuring correspondence is provided to patient and GP following each appointment.
- Coordinating repeat prescription requests, ensuring doctors complete these in a timely manner so patients have adequate supplies of medication.
- Escalating enquiries from patients in relation to medication including concerns, reports of side effects.
- Carrying out audits in relation to the ADHD service and prescription administration.
- Keeping IAPTUS up to date with pharmacy, GP and medication details.
- Inputting data to spreadsheets where required.
- Process and formatting reports.
- Dealing with patient enquiries.
Person Specification
- Experience of working within a customer focused administration role.
- Excellent interpersonal & judgement skills.
- Experience of working to KPI targets and tight deadlines whilst balancing competing priorities within a busy environment.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm professional demeanour.
- Committed to providing the best quality service and achieving the highest standards of client care.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals.
- Able to establish and maintain productive professional relationships with colleagues.

Salary - £23,400 - £25,350 per annum
