Role: Activities and Admin Volunteer
As part of our Operations Team, you will help support our activities by ensuring that we have the resources we need. This includes supporting our varied teams – such as our wellbeing and mental health support to adults and young children, training, fundraising events and therapy services. This role is based at our Head Office in Chorley.
Time Commitment
– Minimum of 4 hours every two weeks
Main Activities
– Tidying, and arranging leaflets and other resources in the office
– Supporting the teams by arranging marketing kits for events
– Helping with research in the community, i.e. finding contact numbers for venues
– Supporting the Operations teams with incoming and outgoing mail
– Supporting the team with public enquiries
– Welcoming visitors, providing information, and assisting with various requests.
– Data entry and record keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized records, updating databases, and preparing reports.
– Filing and photocopying: Managing documents and ensuring their proper storage and accessibility.
– Booking Appointments And Meetings
– Supporting the Operations team with preparing meeting materials.
– Maintaining office supplies and equipment: Ensuring the office is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is functioning properly
– Supporting the wellbeing champions team set up wellbeing events
– Supporting the Operations team with changes to the IT Hub
What We’re Looking For In a Volunteer

– Good verbal and written communication skills
– Confidence with I.T, Including basic Microsoft Excel
– Ability to represent Lancashire Mind in a professional and positive manner
– Active problem solver
– A commitment to the vision and ethos of Lancashire Mind
– Ability to maintain appropriate and professional boundaries.
– Ability to work well in a team.
– Always Follow Lancashire Mind’s policies and procedures.
