Overview

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in managing financial relationships within a leading global reinsurance brokerage?

Gallagher Re is seeking an Accounts Payable/ Receivables Specialist to join our Asia Pacific team. Based in Ipswich, this role involves daily interaction with colleagues in London, Mumbai, our Asia regional offices, as well as our clients and carriers. We are looking for Facultative reinsurance experience for this position.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Ensure the efficient, and auditable handling of client monies.
  • Lead the fiscal relationship for designated clients, acting as the main point of contact for all payment-related matters.
  • Service accounts to a high standard, ensuring timely collection and payment of monies due to/from clients, reinsurers, and third parties.
  • Use management information (MI) to identify debtor-related issues, escalating and negotiating as necessary to resolve.
  • Process incoming cash daily.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with assigned clients, reinsurers, and third parties.
  • Adhere to standardised Group policies and procedures, including Accounting and Settlement fundamentals, sanctions touch points, and other regulatory requirements.

About You

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
  • CII qualifications or studying towards them would be beneficial.
  • Experience in reinsurance or credit control is required.
  • Familiarity with broking systems.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and brokers.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
