Positioned within the Group Financial Reporting function, you'll be at the forefront of announcing results and providing specialist advice to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Accountabilities

Support the Finance Lead in managing partnerships between specialist areas of Finance, specific SET areas/enabling, and external service providers. Provide expert advice to manage risks associated with your area of expertise. Foster business relationships and deliver reporting that informs decision-making. Liaise with external parties on behalf of the business when necessary. Design and administer the annual financial controls, compliance, and assurance program, including SOx 404 and non-404 scope. Manage the SOx 404 testing program. Act as a technical expert in the Process Area, demonstrating excellent knowledge of fiscal and regulatory requirements related to financial processing.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualified experience
  • Significant experience of financial statement preparation and consolidation
  • Experience of financial control frameworks
  • Experience and usage of SAP system
  • Focuses On Delivery – applies experience and expertise to ensure objectives are met even when under pressure
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making – able to identify, analyse and offer other solutions to complex problems
  • Leadership & Development – excellent team working

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience of external audit
  • Experience of working within a large complex organisation
