Microsoft Police team is looking for a talented Account Technology Strategist who will serve as a strategic technology advisor to forces, driving national transformation across a number of UK police forces. This role is pivotal in aligning Microsoft’s capabilities with centralised policing priorities, focusing on high-impact initiatives such as AI, Copilot, Sentinel, and cloud adoption. Working closely with the National CTO for Policing, the ATS translates national blueprints into force-level execution, influencing key deployments and collaborating with CIOs, IT leads, and internal stakeholders. With increasing centralisation in policing technology decisions, the role demands strong strategic acumen, technical depth, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments to deliver consistent, scalable outcomes.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted strategic technology advisor to UK police forces, aligning Microsoft’s capabilities with national policing priorities.
  • Lead and support nationally significant deployments including Copilot, AI, Sentinel, and cloud transformation programmes.
  • Partner with the National CTO for Policing to shape and deliver blueprint-driven engagements.
  • Translate national strategy into force-level execution, working closely with CIOs and IT leads.
  • Influence and support key sales motions in priority forces undergoing transformation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (AEs, PMs, engineering) to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Work seamlessly across a dynamic team to support and enable success for Policing.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Clearance: The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain the Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as issued by the United Kingdom Security Vetting Unit (UKSV). Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
  • Experience in a strategic technology role within public sector, ideally policing, justice, or national security.
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and partners to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies across multiple domains, including Azure infrastructure, AI and Copilot solutions, Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace, Power Platform, and security platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at CxO level.
  • A fast learner who thrives on keeping up-to-date with technology to ensure a position of being a trusted, knowledgeable and reliable advisor.
  • Experience of demonstrating the value of joining multiple technologies together to solve business challenges – including the production of demonstrations, engaging presentations and larger-scale customer events such as EBCs, MTCs or hackathons.
  • NPPV3 clearance is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with national technology blueprints and centralized IT governance models is preferred.
