IWS Water Hygiene is seeking a dynamic, experienced Account Manager to join our successful team, covering the East Anglia business region. IWS Water Hygiene (WH) a division of South Staffordshire Plc. IWS (WH) provides services in all aspects of water hygiene and legionella control including legionella risk assessments into the public sector, utility companies, industrial, commercial and retail customers. The role:

Reporting daily to the Regional Manager, the Account Manager will maintain quality relationships with existing clients, retain current contracts with them and upsell additional business. The Account Manager will also proactively identify, verify and secure new business from new customers.


As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, including securing new business from new customers, ensuring quality customer service is delivered to existing customers and annual sales targets are met.
  • Negotiate new and upsell business at the desired profit margins
  • Help mobilise contracts secured.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with internal stakeholders to meet customer needs
  • Produce cost estimates and sales documents to the highest standard
  • Minimise any outstanding debt on accounts managed.
  • Maintain an accurate and valuable sales pipeline



What you’ll need:

As an Account Manager, you will be professional, motivated, customer focussed and have an untiring desire to meet targets. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining valuable customer relationships, preparing quotations, closing sales and maintaining the account from point of sale.


As an Account Manager, you will have:

  • Previous experience of working in the Water Hygiene and or Water Treatment industry
  • Experience of managing customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • The ability to use MS Office applications to a high standard, specifically Excel
  • The ability to travel anywhere in the UK, including overnight stays if necessary
  • Have a full driving licence


As an Account Manager, it would be advantageous if you had:

  • Proven track record of success in a technical sales role
  • Experience of Strategic Selling techniques or Key Account Management
