About The Role
Pay Details: LSA Grade 4 SCP 5-7
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 30 hrs a week over 5 days
Main Place of Work: St Nicholas CIW Primary School
Temporary Reason: Temporary Maternity Cover in the first instance
Description:
The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St Nicholas CIW Primary School wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our school family as part of a maternity cover.
You will be required to work in our Nursery classroom for the morning session with our friendly class team and then supporting classes across the school in the afternoon.
The successful candidates will have experience of working with children in a nursery or primary setting, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with children, staff, parents and other professionals. Knowledge and experience of running ELSA support would be an advantage but not essential.
Good standards of literacy and numeracy are also essential. The role is due to start at the end of November and will run initially until Aug 25. However, there may be the possibility of this becoming a permanent post.

About You

- To have excellent communication skills, and be able to use IT, both personally and to enhance learning opportunities for the children.
- To have a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills
- To be highly organised and have the ability to work as part of a team.
- To be flexible and adaptable and open to change.
- To have experience of working in a Nursery or primary school
- Have knowledge and understanding of pupils age 3-11 years old.
