Working as a part of the IT team, the 2nd Line Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the IT team are responsive and proactive. The post holder will provide an efficient IT support service to all end users, diagnosing and rectifying technical IT issues as appropriate. The role will also involve working closely with the team to ensure inbound tickets are dealt with, and resolved on time whilst providing remote support to employees across the business.

The Role - IT Support Engineer
- To provide 2nd line support to employees across Liquidline where appropriate, and to provide assistance on 1st line support queries if required.
- To support in ensuring new starters at Liquidline receive the required, approved equipment following internal checklists and procedures.
- To oversee phone infrastructure across the business, looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.
- To track inventory and status for hardware and software throughout the organisation, creating and maintaining accurate asset registers.
- To assist in the development of business continuity and emergency plans for equipment, power or security failure to preserve technology and data.
- To assist in day-to-day queries on the company wide ERP system, dealing with troubleshooting where possible and collaborating with other members of the department where necessary.
- To oversee and supervise system upgrades to ensure sufficient testing , and communication to staff prior to launch.
- It would be an advantage to your application if you have an IT degree, or equivalent qualification.
- You will need a minimum of 2 years working within an IT Engineer Role, handling high volumes of inbound tickets.
- Experienced in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Proven experience of working towards cyber security practices, threat mitigation and IT security best practices.
- Open to continuous improvement, always striving for new ways of doing things to improve efficiency.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft 365, with a good understanding of CRM and ERP systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Responsive, with a service-driven approach to deliver results.
