  • Optimistic
  • Kind
  • Empathetic.

These are the values we promote in our interactions and approaches with each other.

About The Team We Are Recruiting To

Stoke Primary is a 2-form entry school with children from Nursery to Year 6. We have high expectations for all members of our school community and are committed to providing a tailored, enriching curriculum that supports every child to thrive.

As a forward-thinking and inclusive school, we are proud of our nurturing ethos and our drive for excellence in teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and reflective practitioner to make a real impact within Key Stage 1.

What is the job role?

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the needs of all learners.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and target next steps in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Key Stage 1 team and wider school community.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, trips, and enrichment opportunities.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a creative and motivated teacher who:

  • Has a strong knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Is able to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire and challenge pupils.
  • Has an understanding of and a belief in continuous provision as a vehicle for teaching and learning.
  • Is passionate about supporting pupils to make excellent progress, whatever their starting points.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.

Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre employment check with effect 1 Sept 22, please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
