We’re looking for a passionate and driven Supported Housing Worker to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children service and play a vital role in empowering young people to build independence, confidence, and stability.

<hr>What you’ll be doing
You’ll take a holistic, person-centred approach, acting as a trusted mentor, advocate, and guide. Your role will include:
Building trust and stability
- Develop positive, consistent relationships with young people
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive living environment
- Act as a key worker, coordinating services and support networks
Empowering independence
- Deliver tailored support plans to help young people achieve their goals
- Support life skills development including budgeting, tenancy responsibilities, and daily living
- Guide young people into education, employment, and training opportunities
Advocacy and support
- Help young people access health, welfare, housing, and legal services
- Accompany them to appointments, hearings, and important meetings
- Advocate on their behalf with external agencies
Housing and tenancy support
- Support young people to sustain accommodation and meet tenancy conditions
- Monitor wellbeing, safety, and property standards
- Assist with move-on accommodation and transitions to independence
Safeguarding and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records, support plans, and risk assessments
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment

You’ll bring:
- Experience supporting young people or vulnerable groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset
- Emotional intelligence, patience, and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach
Desirable:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care
- Knowledge of housing, safeguarding, or asylum systems
Essential:
- Daily access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
