The Wind Turbine Technician will perform essential maintenance, fault analysis, and complex repairs on wind turbine generator systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

You will act as a key technical representative in the field, working both independently and collaboratively to maintain our wind assets. You will coordinate on-site activities, manage technical documentation, and serve as a primary contact for client queries, ensuring that every project is delivered to the highest quality standards.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Maintaining high-performance wind turbine systems through proactive service and diagnostic excellence.
  • Leading on-site service campaigns and coordinating with internal and external contractors to ensure project success.
  • Resolving complex technical faults by performing detailed analysis and implementing effective repair solutions.
  • Collaborating with clients to address technical queries and provide updates on retrofits and maintenance progress.
  • Improving system reliability by documenting findings, repairs, and service reports with precision and accuracy.

Special Role Requirements

  • Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments across the UK.
  • Willing to work holidays, weekends, and on-call rotations as required by field assignments.
  • Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.
  • Ability to work safely at heights.

Skills For Success

You should be a hands-on technical expert who thrives in a dynamic field environment, with:

  • The ability to diagnose and remedy complex electrical or mechanical faults in wind turbine systems.
  • The capability to work independently or lead a team in high-pressure, site-based environments.
  • An understanding of PLC systems and standard diagnostic software tools.
  • An expertise in electrical engineering, power electronics, or mechatronics.
  • A keen interest in continuous professional development and contributing to the success of a growing energy team.

A formal education or professional training in an electrical engineering sector is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
