Job Description

The VP Product Execution ensures Syspro delivers, commercializes, and operates its products with focus, efficiency, and discipline. Working alongside the SVP Product Management (who defines what we build and why) and in partnership with Technology, Engineering, and Enablement teams, this role establishes a unified execution rhythm that reliably turns product intent into outcomes. The role brings clarity of priorities, simplified processes, disciplined delivery, and strong commercial and operational alignment across the full product lifecycle. The result is a predictable, scalable product engine that consistently meets commitments while reducing complexity.

Job Requirements

Minimum Level of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Minimum Experience
  • 15+ yearsin product, engineering, or operations leadership within B2B software/SaaS, including8+ years leading multi-team, cross-functional product delivery and operations.
  • Proven track record establishing portfolio planning/governance, execution cadence, and lifecycle/commercialization practices at scale

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience driving operational transformation (OKRs, Lean/Agile adoption, DevOps/Release management), and reporting to executive/board stakeholders.

Special Skills and Knowledge

  • Portfolio & Governance: OKRs, prioritization frameworks, capacity planning, dependency management, risk/issue orchestration.
  • Execution at Scale:Roadmapping→delivery→launch→lifecycle; release/launch readiness; crossfunctional operating rhythms.
  • Commercial & Lifecycle: Packaging, licensing operations, SKU hygiene, sunsetting/deprecation methods, costtoserve awareness.
  • Data & Insight: Define and automate delivery, product health, and efficiency metrics; convert analytics into decisions.
  • Leadership & Influence: Executive communication, decision discipline, change management, and stakeholder alignment across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Finance.
  • Methods & Tooling: Agile/Lean practices; portfolio and workmanagement tools; analytics/BI and release management tooling.

Job Responsibilities

  • Translate product strategy into executable delivery and commercialization plans with clear timelines, outcomes, and accountabilities.
  • Orchestrate a single execution plan and cadence across Product, Engineering, Implementation, Support, and Enablement—eliminating conflicting priorities and handoff gaps.
  • Own the product operations function (planning/portfolio processes, tooling, governance, analytics, reporting), and standardize ways of working to improve speed, quality, and predictability.
  • Run portfolio governance and prioritization—making explicit, datainformed decisions on what we do, when we do it, and what we will not do.
  • Track delivery health, capacity, dependencies, and crossteam commitments; remove blockers and adjust plans to protect outcomes.
  • Lead the operationalization and evolution of product licensing models in partnership with Product Management, Sales, and Finance.
  • Own product and component lifecycle management, including structured deprecation and sunsetting to reduce complexity and operating cost.
  • Establish a consistent analytics and reporting framework covering delivery performance, product health, commercial readiness, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide transparent, datadriven insight to leadership on progress, risks, tradeoffs, and return on investment; drive course corrections as needed.
  • Ensure product launches are operationally ready, clearly packaged, and effectively enabled for Sales, Services/Implementation, and Support.
