Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Ty Cwm, situated in Carmarthen .

Ty Cwm is a 20 bedded purpose built nursing services for people with physical disabilities and complex health care conditions based just outside Carmarthen in Johnstown. The service is based over 2 floors with bedrooms on each floor accessed by a large lift, communal lounges, hydro bubble baths, sensory & activities room and physiotherapy.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
  • Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
  • Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation

Qualifications And Experience

  • Experience working with older people in residential care
  • You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
  • You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
  • Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
