Why join us?
Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost which compliments our Community Services where the focus is promoting independent living. We treat people with a range of brain injuries – sustained through trauma, illness, substance abuse and more – to recover and meet their personal goals. Our employees are incredibly passionate about the jobs they do – you will find a strong team spirit across our services and amazing colleagues who always pull together and look out for each other.
The Role
Our aim is to support service users to live the lifestyle of their choice and promote independence, focusing on their individual goals and aspirations. We are seeking a special person who is committed to assist the service in delivering quality person-centred support.
It is a really varied job, with all kinds of different activities to organise and participate in – both at the service and in the local community:
At Rosegarth we have a talented bunch! We help people we support in a variety of ways - no two days are ever the same.
Your day could involve supporting service users to choir practice, supporting a service user who writes their own songs and records them at a recording studio in the city centre and supporting a service user who plays in a brass band. In the community, service users enjoy going to local pubs for meals, going to the cinema, and going swimming. We are also eager to provide good in-service activities such as yoga, board games, baking and more. Rosegarth is a very social home - there is never a dull day! We maintain a high-quality level of personalised support, enabling our service users to holistically live their best lives.
You will get huge job satisfaction from seeing the people you are supporting do more for themselves and live the life they want to live. If you are interested in building a career, we are here to support you all the way on your own journey.
