Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our clean water team. Safeguarding the quality, reliability, and performance of drinking water across our region. We work across complex network systems, enhancing, maintaining, installing, and repairing infrastructure from pipes to water meters, to ensure consistently high-water quality. Through proactive network management and resilient engineering, we help ensure communities have safe, dependable water supplies every day.

What will you be doing?
As our Supervisor you'll be a hands‑on, site‑based leader accountable for the safe, compliant, efficient and high‑quality delivery of dig and reinstatement activities. Responsible for leading operational gangs, they embed strong SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), quality, Streetworks and hygiene standards daily, ensuring work is completed right first time. Acting as the link between gangs and senior leadership, they manage performance, drive productivity, maintain compliance, and proactively address risks, customer needs and site issues through visible, on‑site leadership and ownership.
- Own and enforce safety, health and environmental (SHE) standards across all sites
- Lead gangs on site, ensuring high performance, discipline and safe behaviours
- Deliver work right first time, on time, and to required quality standards
- Maintain full compliance with Streetworks permits, notices and regulations
- Drive productivity through effective planning, resource use and time management
- Complete and enforce hygiene requirements (e.g. FYLD, CAT downloads, accurate data)
- Monitor quality of dig, backfill and reinstatement, preventing rework and defects
- Engage with customers and stakeholders, resolving issues and improving satisfaction
- Identify risks early, intervene where needed, and escalate issues promptly
- Act as a visible, accountable leader with full ownership of site results and performance
What you'll bring
- Proven experience supervising dig and reinstatement or similar civils activities.
• Knowledge of Streetworks and reinstatement standards.
• Confident managing direct labour and subcontract gangs.
• Practical, solution‑focused approach with strong site leadership presence.
- Able to challenge, coach and hold people to account.
