Stores & Goods In Operative

£14.00 per hour

Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is looking for a reliable Stores & Goods In Operative to join their busy team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately while supporting the smooth running of production.

If you have previous stores, warehouse or goods-in experience and hold a valid forklift licence, we'd like to hear from you.

The Stores & Goods In Operative Role

  • Receiving deliveries and checking goods against paperwork
  • Booking stock onto the computer system
  • Reporting any damaged or missing items
  • Moving stock to the correct location
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift
  • Supplying materials to the production team
  • Keeping stock organised and helping with stock checks
  • Arranging deliveries to subcontractors and booking couriers
  • Preparing parts for collection and dispatch
  • Carrying out local collections and deliveries when required
  • Keeping the stores and dispatch areas clean and tidy
  • Helping with other warehouse and stores duties as needed

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or goods in role
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence
  • Confident using computers
  • Good attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help
  • A full UK driving licence (preferred)
