Store Co-Ordinator Keep Our Operations Stocked, Safe & Ready
Location: Orpington MSP
Salary: This is a 10 month Secondment opportunity / Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Days / Flexibility Required (Operational Role)

We're looking for a proactive and organised Store Co-Ordinator to lead our stores operation and ensure plant, materials, tools, and equipment are available, compliant, and ready for use.
This is a key role supporting delivery teams, logistics, and technical units - ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, organisation, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

About The Role
What You'll Do
Lead & Manage the Stores Team
- Lead, direct, and motivate the stores management team to achieve key performance measures
- Manage staff development, engagement, safety, and competence arrangements
- Foster a strong safety-first culture across all stores activities
- Support the Logistics Co-ordinator in establishing efficient quantities of plant and materials
- Operate an effective goods receipt and returns process
- Maintain accurate inventory records for stock booked in and out of stores
- Order stock and arrange material replenishment using corporate systems and processes
- Conduct stock-taking checks and support stock audits
- Monitor, amend, and optimise stock profiles and stock levels as demand changes
- Operate out-based Minor Stocking Points
- Maintain safe, clean, and tidy store environments at all times
- Prepare and make available plant and materials for delivery unit teams
- Collaborate with technical support teams to meet equipment calibration requirements
- Quarantine small plant, tools, and equipment out of test date
- Check all items are fit for purpose, quarantining unsafe equipment and arranging replacement
What You'll Need
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of plant and tools specifications
- Practical competence in loading, lifting operations, and lifting equipment
- Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and processes
- Experience using company IT systems
- Strong communication, organisation, and attention-to-detail skills
- Knowledge of the operational railway environment
- Understanding of maintenance delivery processes and techniques
This is a safety-critical operational role where accuracy, compliance, and organisation are essential. A flexible and responsible approach to work is required.
