Skills and Employability Adviser (YJS Specialist)

Salary: £26,262 to £31,391 pro rata (depending on skills and experience)

Location: East Sussex - Hastings base

Contract: Part time (0.8)

Reports to: YES Hastings Team Leader

Job Purpose:

• Based within the Youth Employability Service (YES), the post holder will support young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training - NEET or at risk of NEET, from the age of 16 – 18 years old, including an allocation of young people working with the Youth Justice Service (YJS).
• The postholder will work closely with a range of pre- and post-16 services, case managing young people offering information, advice and guidance IAG to support them back into education, employment, or training.
• Co-located within the Youth Justice Service (YJS)office for a minimum of 0.5 days per week, working in partnership with the team to support vulnerable young people with YJS orders, or an offending background. The postholder will be expected to attend team meetings for their co-located team and input into relevant meetings as required.
