We’re looking for aSenior Sales Person with detailed knowledge of building materials, to join the team at our Northwich branch. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our branch’s success by building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, supporting your teammates, and helping to grow sales and profitability.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building connections – chatting with customers in person or over the phone, using your experience in the industry to give helpful, confident advice.
  • Creating tailored solutions – putting together quotes, following up on enquiries, and turning leads into real opportunities, using your understanding of what materials work best for different jobs.
  • Keeping things running smoothly – handling day to day admin without any fuss and keeping everything on track.
  • Offering guidance – helping customers choose the right products for their projects by drawing on your up to date knowledge.
  • Enhancing the shopping experience – keeping displays tidy, well stocked, and easy for customers to browse so they can quickly find the materials they need.
  • Collaborating – working closely with the team across the branch, including the yard and counter, using your product knowledge to help customers get the right materials first time.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll have experience in a builders’ merchant or a sales‑focused role, or you’ll be a confident sales professional with strong knowledge of building materials and a passion for helping customers find the right products. Experience leading or supporting a team would be a real advantage.

The right person will also bring strong time keeping, natural organisation and clear communication skills. You’ll be a great listener, show genuine enthusiasm and maintain sharp attention to detail. Driven, passionate and customer focused, you’ll adapt your approach to suit each individual and deliver a positive, personalised experience every time.
