Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Relief) based at Beechville, Bolton to work on a contractual basis. This role involves providing high-quality person-centred care to residents in a supported living environment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. The position is designed to support the team during peak periods or staff shortages, maintaining continuity of care with minimal disruption to residents’ routines.


Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, dignified, and respectful care to residents, supporting daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.

• Assist with medication administration under the direction of registered nurses or senior staff in accordance with care plans and organisational policies.

• Monitor and record vital signs, changes in health status, and report any concerns to the care team promptly and accurately.

• Support the planning and delivery of individualised care activities, including social engagement, therapeutic exercises, and nutritional support.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors, adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols at all times.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold a relevant care qualification such as Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent NVQ.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a care setting, preferably within elderly care or supported living.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children, and ability to apply person-centred care principles in practice.

• Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
