Security Officer

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Varied, casual cover (8 or 12 hours shifts)

As a Security Officer, you will be the first line of support for employees and visitors to the site, providing a professional and friendly service. You will be responsible for monitoring fire, security, and building systems, ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner, and in compliance with relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Internal and external foot patrols
• High level control room monitoring of access control, CCTV and alarm systems
• Ensuring all procedures, site/assignment instructions and SOP’s are followed at all times
• Site entry, car park barrier control and traffic management
• After hours Reception duties
• Accurate report writing using computer based software
• Sorting and delivering post and parcels from Royal mail and couriers to staff and companies on Campus
  
  
  

Skills and requirements

• Full right to work in the UK
• SIA Licence Frontline Manned Guarding or Door Supervisor is essential
• PSS Licence desirable
• Previous Security experience would be desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Smart and professional appearance, good observation and customer service skills
• Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a diverse team
• Computer literate in MS word, Excel and Outlook are essential
• Clean UK Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
