The Impact You Will Make
This is a pivotal role reporting into the security department responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across our Loughborough sites and supporting our Clitheroe site remotely.
You will be key in protecting the security of the sites and monitoring the grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other company losses, including inspection of emergency response systems.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Working Hours: Onsite - 12-hour shifts which are 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00 - average 42 hours per week
Working Shift Pattern: Continental Shift 4 on | 4 off (days and nights).
Location: Derby Road, Loughborough

The Impact You Will Make
This is a pivotal role reporting into the security department responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across our Loughborough sites and supporting our Clitheroe site remotely.
You will be key in protecting the security of the sites and monitoring the grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other company losses, including inspection of emergency response systems.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by touring the premises, monitoring grounds via surveillance equipment.
- Inspect emergency response equipment (i.e. spill cabinets, fire extinguishers, AEDs, fire suppression systems, etc.) and audit facility equipment.
- Distribution of chemicals and products between sites.
- Interact with a variety of personnel including clients, visitors, and employees.
- Work with the internal access control systems.
- Manage all visitors to site and maintains visitor logs.
- Follow work instructions and crisis management plan procedures.
- Promoting security by being alert to observe, correct, and/or report any hazards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, including supporting updates to procedures, trainings, and written programs.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and crisis management plan response.
- Responds to security breaches, prepare reports to detail incident/accident.
- Previous experience working within a similar role within manufacturing, warehouse or logistics environment or similar.
- Ability to work in all-weather elements.
- Full UK Driving licence is essential.
- ADR licence is desirable.
- CCTV Licence is preferable.
- SIA licence in manned guarding and public space surveillance is preferable.
- Good understanding of GMP.
- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- knowledge of Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment.
- Good organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, conscientious and proactive in approach.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and site needs.
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Proactive, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Practical and logical manner for problem solving.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
