About The Role
At Panda, we deliver reliable waste and recycling services that support local communities and businesses. Reporting to the Transport Manager, we are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Road Sweeper Driver to join our operations team. This role plays an essential part in maintaining clean, safe environments across our sites and client locations.
As part of our collaborative and diverse team, you'll operate a road sweeper vehicle at our Quarrington site, ensuring efficient and high-quality cleaning services that reflect our commitment to operational excellence and environmental care.

- Competitive Pay: £15.50 per hour
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
- Predictable Shift Pattern: 14:00 – 22:00 (2pm – 10pm), Monday to Friday

- Vehicle Operation: Safely and efficiently operate road sweeping vehicles across assigned routes or designated areas.
- Site Maintenance: Perform sweeping activities to a high standard, ensuring clean and safe environments in accordance with health & safety regulations.
- Compliance & Inspection: Conduct pre-use vehicle checks, report any issues or defects promptly, and complete all relevant paperwork accurately, including route logs and vehicle inspection forms.
- Safety First: Work safely at all times, strictly following site, transport, and road regulations.
- Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, providing a professional, helpful, and friendly service on-site.
- Teamwork: Support the wider transport and depot team at our Quarrington site to keep operations running smoothly.
- Essential Requirement: A valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, up-to-date Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph card.
- Experience: Previous experience operating road sweepers is highly beneficial, though full training on our specific fleet will be provided.
- Compliance & Safety: A strong understanding of health and safety practices, driver compliance, and daily defect checks.
- Work Ethic: A reliable, punctual approach with the ability to work independently or effectively as part of a team.
- Communication: Good communication skills and a practical, customer-focused attitude.
- Flexibility: Commitment to the 14:00 – 22:00 afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, based out of Quarrington.
