We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at The Oak Veterinary Group on a full-time basis. Flexible options will also be considered. This role offers a £1,000 welcome bonus and relocation allowance of up to £2,000.
The Oak Veterinary Group is based in beautiful Pembrokeshire, surrounded by some of the most stunning coast and countryside Wales has to offer. Our main small animal practice in Haverfordwest is due to undergo a property redevelopment programme during 2026 and offers surgery, dentistry, internal laboratory facilities, ultrasound, radiography and endoscopy.
Our Hydrotherapy and Physio services are delivered by our full-time Rehab Coordinator at our Fishguard practice. The Fishguard branch also has internal laboratory, dentistry and surgical facilities, alongside the unique opportunity to offer clients an aquatic treadmill for hydrotherapy. We also offer laser and acupuncture services across both sites.
Practice Highlights
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- 37.5 hours per week full-time role, with flexible options also considered
- Working hours fall between 8:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday , Includes one late finish and one early start
- 1 in 5 Saturday rota, currently 8:00am to 1:00pm
- No out-of-hours requirements
- Deliver high standards of nursing care to hospitalised patients, inpatients and day patients
- Monitor anaesthetics and support patient safety throughout procedures
- Run nurse consultations and Wellness Screenings, including weight management, senior pet advice, dietary advice and puppy and kitten advice
- Carry out procedures such as nail clipping, anal gland expression and dental checks

- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
