Daz In The Hat Radio CIC is looking for a Recruitment Officer to help attract and recruit volunteers across all areas of the station, including on-air presenters and back-office roles.
What difference will you make?
The Recruitment Officer volunteer role plays a crucial part in strengthening the sustainability, growth and community impact of Daz In The Hat Radio CIC. This outreach approach is particularly important in supporting individuals who may face barriers to entry into the industry, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, people with disabilities and individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
By increasing the diversity of our volunteer base, the station will benefit from a broader range of voices, experiences and perspectives. This enhances creativity, strengthens community representation and ensures our programming reflects the audiences we serve. A structured recruitment process also improves volunteer retention by ensuring individuals are matched to roles that suit their skills, interests and availability.
This role will also support the development of a clearer onboarding pathway. Ensuring new volunteers understand our mission — promoting unsigned artists and providing practical radio experience — will improve engagement, commitment and professionalism. Stronger recruitment and induction processes reduce volunteer turnover, build team morale and create a more stable organisational structure.
