We’re looking for a Scheduler to join our UK Defence & Security Sector. You’ll play a key role in some mission critical projects and long-term engagements that will provide a lasting positive impact on the UK’s defence capability.

Role description:
We’re looking for a Scheduler to join our UK Defence & Security Sector. You’ll play a key role in some mission critical projects and long-term engagements that will provide a lasting positive impact on the UK’s defence capability.
Role accountabilities:
- Reviewing and analysing complex construction schedules and provide opinions, advice and reports as necessary on project progress as well as predictions of the work using scheduling software.
- Managing the Integrated Master Schedule.
- Visiting active construction projects and assessing work progress. Confirming progress is consistent with the project schedule and other project records.
- Advising client of actual progress and related cost implications.
- Developing potential recovery plans for time and cost.
- Reviewing and analysing construction claims and providing opinions, advice and reports as necessary on contractual entitlement and quantification of damages suitable for use in dispute resolution proceedings including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using various industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject), applying Critical Path Method techniques for effective project controls, progress tracking, and delay analysis
- Report writing & preparation of charts & graphs to support and present analysis

- Demonstrable experience working in a scheduling role
- Good written and verbal communication skills as well as organisational skills
- Ability to engage with the client and key stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with working with NEC contracts
- Previous experience working in the Defence and Security sector, government projects or other major projects is desirable
- In depth knowledge of built asset and infrastructure
- Ability to obtain BPSS clearance
- Ability to obtain SC clearance
