We are delighted to be recruiting for a Project Scheduler to join our growing team at our Rugby (Newbold Road) site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex projects within the UK Defence sector.
As Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for ensuring project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into a project planning scenario. You will monitor progress, keep plans updated and produce timely and accurate projections and reports ensuring that these are available for other departments and the customer as required.
Due to the nature of this work, successful candidates must either hold or be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance. Employment will be conditional upon obtaining the required clearance where it is not already held.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Ensure project implementation plans, work packages, milestones and constraints are accurately incorporated into project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and maintain schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce accurate forecasts, progress reports and schedule performance metrics for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Participate in supplier meetings and lead discussions on schedule. Receive and review supplier schedules and incorporate into the Arabelle Solutions master schedule.
- Actively participates in the risk & opportunities process, identifying mitigation or action plans, and implementing them once validated. Lead Schedule Risk Assessment meetings internally and with key suppliers working collaboratively with multiple internal departments, gathering updates and information on project related activity in order to arrive at decisions.
- Measure and communicate periodically the project performance, the trend indicators and the milestones achievement.
- Ensure a pro-active and transparent schedule activity forecasting in order to identify in advance potential delays and to suggest effective recovery action plans with the involved parties, under the direction of the Project Director.
- Proven experience in a Project Controls, Project Scheduler or Project Planner role.
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules in a complex project environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret project data and identify trends.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple functions and priorities.
- Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, defence, aerospace, energy or other highly regulated industries.
- Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Professional qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and capable of working independently.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
