Our Siemens Mobility UKI Central Functions business unit provides the strategic backbone, delivering essential operational, financial, and administrative support for innovative transportation solutions and projects across the UK and Ireland.


We have an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Mobility as a Project Procurement Manager to join our Siemens Mobility UKI based in Coventry or Birmingham. You will need to have a willingness and flexibility to travel to different sites as and when required. This role will deliver an effective procurement service ensuring all Project Procurement standards and procedures are adhered to in line with Siemens policies. In this role, you will identify and define appropriate mitigation strategies for procurement risks, ensuring they are documented and presented for internal review.


With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will actively contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the procurement function. The role also involves participating in cross-business procurement workshops to foster collaboration, share best practice and strengthen stakeholder relationships.


You’ll make a difference by..

  • Defining robust procurement strategies aligned to bid / project scope requirements and drive these through the implementation phase
  • Negotiate and draft sub-contract agreements ensuring that back to back requirements are flowed down to our suppliers
  • Ensuring Procurement’s early Involvement for bids and tendering activity through effective stakeholder management
  • Implementing robust procurement processes and controls into the project by utilising standard functional templates
  • Identifying Supply Chain risks and ensuring these are documented as part of our due diligence process
  • Implementing a robust Supplier Management regime to document supplier performance and drive improvements


What you’ll need to succeed..

  • MCIPS qualified
  • Proven Strategic Procurement experience
  • Experience of working with Cross functional teams in a Bid & Project Management environment
  • Experience of drafting Sub-contract agreements is essential for this role
  • Effective Stakeholder Management is essential to ensuring the individuals success in the role
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels as well as a collaboration mindset
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP and purchase to pay preferred
  • Experience in either the Rail or Construction industry preferred
