Location: Buttershaw, Bradford, hybrid working – minimally 2 days in total in the office / on-site per week, pending office move to Leeds Valley Park (LS10) from September 2026.

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Asset Delivery Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in:

As our Project Manager you will:

  • Join our Asset Delivery Team, managing and successfully delivering capital projects to time, cost & quality working
  • Lead collaborative project teams consisting of YW & Partner colleagues, plus other stakeholders, to efficiently deliver your programme of work
  • Manage a programme budget on multiple projects of varying values at any one time and over multiple financial years
  • Draft and manage project contracts with our Partners, assisted by project sponsors and specialist contract & commercial colleagues
  • Keep a spotlight on Health & Safety, Carbon net zero targets, and Environmental sustainability, ensuring they remain a high priority in your project delivery. Site visits will be required to undertake Health and Safety, attend meetings and carrying out assurance activities
  • Work with key stakeholders and customers, both internal & external, maintaining effective communication, positive relationships, and managed expectations
  • Obtain project funding approvals, and maintain good financial governance throughout the life of your projects
  • Ensure accurate project data is maintained in various systems, including monthly forecasting of expenditure and key milestone dates.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Site experience in construction
  • Experience working in a project team or similar environment
  • Manage budgets and interpret financial data
  • Build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Personable nature and collaborative approach
  • Strong communicator both written and verbally
  • Confident to challenge and question to ensure project success
  • Problem solving to resolve and mediate project issues
  • Comfortable working independently and taking the initiative
  • A full UK driving licence

You will also benefit from having:

  • 2 Years minimum previous experience working as a Project Manager in the Water Industry or broader Construction / Civils Industry
  • NEC4 experience
  • APMQ (or similar)
  • Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations

We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires a minimum of 2 days in the office / on site per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
