Job Summary
Working within the Test and Qualification team, you will play a key role in organising and executing project activities in support of product qualification. You will generate technical documentation and liaise with the engineering, production, finance and production disciplines to ensure project plans are realised.
Analytical, organised and effective communicators will thrive in this role and enjoy the day-to-day variety it offers. It is a great opportunity for a less experienced engineer to learn Beaufort’s business and have a significant impact on products used in survival critical environments. Although initially focused on project delivery and administration, the role will develop into a multi-disciplined engineer who acts as a product qualification and technical cornerstone for the business.

Requirements
- Generate and actively manage short and long project plans and tasks. Efficiently and regularly communicate progress and drive tasks to completion.
- Develop, execute, and report on test plans, with the opportunity to participate as a test subject when safe. Compile any associated safety documentation.
- Interpret and manage often complex technical requirements to support execution of qualification programme plans.
- Identify and report on qualification evidence from legacy and modern products.
- Ensure tasks are realised on-time by understanding business processes and liaising with different departments.
- Conduct thorough product risks assessments including Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.
- Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering systems and practices.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive team environment.

- Engage in professional development through formal & informal training, including self-led learning and mentoring.
- Stay up to date on relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.

- Excellent communicator, adaptable to various audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong foundation in engineering principles, with the ability to apply fundamentals to new novel situations.
- Basic competency in 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks) design and drafting tools.
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of industrial engineering experience.
