Job Overview

Do you have an interest in pricing insights? If you have knowledge of pricing, claims and other drivers of insurance performance, this could be the role for you. You’ll produce actionable insights for Pricing teams, enabling fine-tuning of pricing. You’ll create performance dashboards and share results with key stakeholders, highlighting issues and opportunities, plus robust planning and forecasting assumptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing regular insights and dashboards to track business mix and performance with appropriate granularity.
  • Identifying where action is needed to address any shortfalls in performance verses plan.
  • Exploiting further opportunities to add value to the profit and loss statement.
  • Creating analysis of new business and retention initiatives performance and monitor against targets set.
  • Offering robust assumptions for planning and forecasting.
  • Ensuring data and insight tools are robust, highlighting any changes needed.
  • Delivering ad hoc analysis requests.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your Skills & Experience

  • In-depth understanding of the private medical insurance (PMI) market and its key drivers.
  • Proven experience in pricing, claims management, and analysing factors impacting insurance performance and profit and loss.
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation, reconciliation, and analysis, with experience in SAS, Databricks, and Power BI preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex insights clearly.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results and ongoing improvement.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive in approaching tasks.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
