About you

We are seeking a Pensions Administrator to join our Communications team. Administration experience and good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. While prior experience with the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is desirable, it is not required as full training will be provided.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of prioritising their own workload to meet strict deadlines. You will be a team player and collaborate on answering complex queries with other teams in our department when required. You will need the ability to interpret complex legislation and explain it clearly in plain English when answering member queries by email and phone.

Additionally, we require someone who is dedicated to their own continuous personal development.

About Us

This role is in the Communications sub-team within the London Borough of Sutton & Royal Borough of Kingston Shared Pension Service. As part of the team you will be managing the pensions email box, dealing with enquiries (by email and telephone) from members, employers and other pension scheme administrators. You will also carry out other administrative tasks, including indexing incoming mail and updating data on the pension system.

The position is open to hybrid working, but regular attendance in the office is mandatory.

Interviews will be held in person at the Civic Offices and will include a short comprehension test.
