Job Introduction

Carry out painting, inspection, servicing and maintenance of Groundforce equipment and depot assets to specified quality standards, as set down by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in the Depot under instructions from the Depot Foreman/Leadinghand to make equipment ready for hire
- Liaise with your line manager, to agree and understand our customers’ requirements and ensure that the highest level of service is maintained
- Use and maintenance of airless sprayer to complete painting of hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed
- Use hand brush/roller paint techniques where applicable to complete painting of hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed
- Complete stencilling of hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed
- Drive counterbalance or multi-directional forklift trucks to load/unload vehicles, move, prepare and store equipment (full in-house training will be provided)
- Where deemed necessary, pick/return/scan equipment accurately and identify stock overages/shortages
- Where deemed necessary, load and unload equipment correctly and safely
- Use pressure washer to clean equipment
- Where deemed necessary, inspect, service and repair specified hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed
- Use of pneumatic/electrical hand tools (full in-house training will be provided)
- Keep up to date and accurate service/inspection records at all times
- Identify and record damage of out of service equipment
- Ensure stock levels are accurately maintained and quality of equipment is kept in line with company quality standards
- Have a positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment reporting any issues to your supervisor
- Maintain the depot to a high standard keeping clean and tidy
- Occasionally drive the depot van as deemed necessary
- Ability to complete records and paperwork accurately is essential
- Capability to use scanners, PDA’s, tablets and computers
- A reasonable level of fitness is required
- To be flexible, trustworthy and reliable and have excellent time keeping skills is essential
- Valid full clean driving licence
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of shoring commercial operations
- Working knowledge of construction/housing/civil engineering industry advantageous
- Knowledge of shoring/hire industry
- Spray painting experience would be advantageous but not essential ((full in-house training will be provided)
