Telent are looking for x2 NOC Engineer (Network Operations Centre Engineer), based out of the Farnborough office (GU14 7JP). This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, which will see you work hours 37.5 hours per week Monday–Friday (9:00am–5:30pm). Full eligibility for SC Clearance is required (including minimum UK residency requirements).
What you’ll do:
- Provide remote technical support for the Network Services customer base, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and data analysis of network infrastructure
- Offer clear and concise communication (verbal and written), ensuring updates are understood across all technical levels
- Support Telent’s change management process and adhere to organisational policies, prioritising incidents based on business needs and impact
- Take technical ownership of incidents, ensuring effective case management, data collection, and customer satisfaction
- Notify customers and third parties of technical issues, outages, and remediation updates
- Develop trend analysis and root cause analysis to support Incident and Problem Management processes
- Review performance reports to identify trends and support continuous improvement and issue resolution
Who you are:
A proactive and collaborative individual with a strong interest in networking technologies and troubleshooting. You are keen to learn and develop your technical capability, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. You take ownership of your work, prioritise effectively, and contribute positively within a team setting.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience within a NOC Engineering environment or similar troubleshooting/network support role
- Alternatively, experience within an IT Service Desk / Service Desk Engineer or similar triage-based role
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ (preferred), Network+, CCNA, JNCIA or Cisco certifications (desirable)
- Strong willingness to learn, develop and adapt to changing priorities and workloads
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and respect processes
- Ability to commute to Farnborough Business Park location
