We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Primary team at HMP Stocken, a category C men’s Prison located nr Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands.
In this role you will have the autonomy to shape the role to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
As a Mental Health Clinical Lead and managing a team of 10 and will be based within the healthcare department.

Hours
- Monday – Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- 8.30am - 4.30pm

What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of and lead the Mental Health team within the Integrated Healthcare Services team.
- Provide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.
- Establish inter-agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.
- Ensuring that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
- Based on the Wellbeing Approach and Practice Plus mental Health policy, provide nursing triage and screening and assessment.
- Actively participate with the development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians
- Ensuring all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health
- Confirm waiting list are well managed ensuring minimal waiting times for patients
- Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration

Qualifications Required
- NMC - Mental Health
- BSc or equivalent qualification
- Experience of providing supervision
- Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification Experience
- Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the role
