Maintenance Engineer

Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland

*This role requires shift work, rotation of days and nights*

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Solve reasons for breakdown and undertaking corrective and preventative actions to resolve
• Repairs and maintenance of PLC controlled machinery.
• The recording and reporting of maintenance activities.
• Conduct equipment inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes and standards
• Create and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays.
• Provide technical assistance as required to improve the reliability and performance of the plant's machinery.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, inc. Health & Safety Standards.
• Utilise Computer based maintenance management system to support the maintenance function.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 Mechanical / engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Must be a Time/Skill-Served. Mechanically, electrically advantageous, with Industrial Experience.
• Fault finding experience on automated machinery.
• Minimum 3 year’s FMCG experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, mechanical drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals.
• Experience of both the installation of new equipment and overhaul of existing equipment.
• A sound knowledge of control systems, conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is essential.
• Experience of Tig welding, turning, milling and fabrication.

Desired Criteria

• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment in the maintenance of a modern bottling plant.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
