We are seeking a dependable and professional individual to join our South Tyneside College library.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with a diverse range of people, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and have a strong interest in learning resources and supporting students.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Delivering a professional, welcoming, and efficient service at the issue desk
- Assisting students with basic IT queries, printing, and access to library resources
- Shelving and maintaining library stock to a high standard
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the library
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are customer-focused, approachable, and professional in manner
- Demonstrate confidence in using basic IT systems
- Are reliable, flexible, and able to work evenings (until 8pm) and at short notice
- Possess strong communication skills and work effectively as part of a team
Previous library experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Tyne Coast College was created from the merger of South Tyneside College and South Shields Marine School, with TyneMet College and Queen Alexandra Sixth Form.
