Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, collecting and analysing spatial data, and supporting construction and development projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision, technical expertise, and strong organisational skills. The Land Surveyor will utilise advanced surveying tools and software to deliver accurate measurements and detailed mapping solutions.

Duties

  • Conduct land surveys using specialised equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and plans using AutoCAD, ArcGIS, N4CE, and CAD software.
  • Collect, manage, and analyse spatial data to support construction, planning, and development activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project specifications.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of survey projects from initial site assessment through to final reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of survey data and ensure compliance with relevant legal and safety standards.
  • Support data management processes by organising digital files and maintaining database integrity.
  • Provide technical guidance on land boundaries, topographical features, and construction layouts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in land surveying or related fieldwork. 3-5 years is essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, CAD software, and data management tools.
  • Strong understanding of land surveying principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and site layout planning is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and maps accurately.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
  • Relevant qualifications in surveying or geomatics are preferred.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for site access purposes on national projects.
  • Candidates should live within commuting distance of our office.
