The role
We are looking for an Inventory Controller to join our Northampton site (NN4 5FB). This is a blended role, combining working in the warehouse and on inventory tasks, supporting all stock movements and ensuring accurate, real-time data is maintained across our systems.
You will play a key part in maintaining stock integrity, supporting operational teams, and delivering a first-class service to both our customers and Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd.
This is a hands-on warehouse-based role involving product packaging and some manual handling duties. You will also be required to work at height using a scissor lift MHE — full training will be provided.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00.

Main Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock control and update the WMS in real time
- Complete stock counts, including picking stock at height using a scissor lift MHE
- Support Operations and Customer Services with stock-related queries
- Investigate stock discrepancies proactively and escalate where required
- Assist the Team Leader with stock takes and customer audits
- Produce accurate reports for colleagues and customers
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and all workplace regulations
- Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested by the Team Leader or Management
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in an administration or stock control environment
- MHE Counterbalance licence advantageous but not essential
- Proactive, flexible and able to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong numeracy and literacy
- Confident using MS Outlook and Excel
- Willingness to work in the warehouse and operate MHE (training provided)
