Position Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working within Vertiv’s Non‑Contract Department, you will be responsible for delivering the company’s service sales strategy to both new and existing customers. This role requires maximising sales opportunities across the existing customer base while proactively developing new business. You will play a key role in driving the growth of non‑contract service revenues across the UK.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Working within Vertiv’s Non‑Contract Department, you will be responsible for delivering the company’s service sales strategy to both new and existing customers. This role requires maximising sales opportunities across the existing customer base while proactively developing new business. You will play a key role in driving the growth of non‑contract service revenues across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Review daily engineer reports and internal inquiries to identify service opportunities
- Recommend appropriate service solutions based on identified needs.
- Create comprehensive project files and quotations based on field engineer findings
- Provide lifecycle planning advice, including technical recommendations and budget guidance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers by increasing awareness of Vertiv's full service capabilities
- Support both current and prospective customers on technical and project-related matters
- Support Area Sales Managers with customer accounts and strategic initiatives as needed
- Deliver accurate, professional quotations within established timeframes
- Proactively follow up on outstanding quotations through phone and CRM coordination
- Log all opportunities and maintain accurate records in Oracle Cloud CRM system
- Update leads and project activity weekly to enable accurate forecasting
- Submit weekly and monthly order reports and forecasts to management
- Ensure all work is administered according to current Service Sales Procedures
- Maintain communication with internal departments, external customers, and suppliers
- Support integration and cooperation between all sales divisions within Vertiv
- Adhere strictly to company Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies
- Assess and control all risks (health, safety, and environmental) on projects
- Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulations is managed and performed in full compliance with the company’s ITC certification program itself
- Operate within company ethical business guidelines at all times
- When necessary, attend our customer’s sites to undertake site surveys and site meetings.
- A basic understanding of our Vertiv offerings.
- A basic understanding of the business-critical applications
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.
- Computer Literate.
- Understanding of the UK market.
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years Sales Experience
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Self Disciplined and Motivated.
- Excellent financial management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to successfully communicate with various departments and personnel in potentially stressful situations
