Baltic Apprenticeships are working in partnership with RoundWorks IT to find their next Network Engineer Apprentice. RoundWorks IT is an established Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering expert IT support, networking, cybersecurity and cloud solutions to businesses across the UK. With a strong focus on customer service and technical excellence, they pride themselves on building long-term relationships with clients while providing innovative and reliable technology solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Network Engineer to join a growing technical team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of networking technologies. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, supporting client environments while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in networking and infrastructure.

In this role, you'll work towards your Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Support and resolve network-related tickets across a range of client environments
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across wired and wireless networks
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues
  • Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of networking equipment including switches, routers and firewalls
  • Support cloud-managed networking infrastructure and security solutions
  • Assist with network security, patch management and infrastructure updates
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for client environments and network configurations
  • Support both reactive incidents and planned project work, gaining exposure to a variety of technologies and business environments

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary of £24,000 – £26,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm (1-hour lunch break)

Desired Skills, Qualities and Experience:

  • Some previous IT experience is preferred due to the technical nature of the Level 4 programme
  • Passion for networking and IT infrastructure
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a growing organisation
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required due to the nature of the role
  • Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 4 apprenticeship provides everything you need to launch a successful career in networking and infrastructure.

You'll gain practical experience working with enterprise networking technologies, security solutions, cloud-managed infrastructure and troubleshooting tools. Through a combination of hands-on workplace learning and expert-led training, you'll develop the technical knowledge, industry skills and confidence needed to progress within the networking sector.

You'll be based full-time with your employer and quickly become a valued member of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
