Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Your role CHANEL:

The successful candidate will perform all administrative duties related to the customs compliance, exports and imports; to establish and maintain effective relations with local and international counterparts.

Maximise Supply Chain Efficiency: By acting as a trusted first point of contact in the markets, you will increase efficiency, reduce costs and accelerate market entry by educating and advising internally and leading by example. This will include proactively and reactively resolving issues such as shipment delays, documentation and continually improving on Standard Operating Procedures.

Regulatory Risk Management: By developing a deep and up-to-date knowledge of global customs laws, you will keep businesses in a good position with border controls, and protect the image of the brand, financial health and ability to trade, as well as support smoother transit by ensuring full compliance.

Effective Customer Service: Be proactive and use your initiative to provide effective support to the teams by building strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

Forward-thinking Management: Be creative by driving innovation, implementing change effectively, and embracing new ways of working in an ever-changing market, which is key to long-term business success.

What you will bring to the role:


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, able to use MS Word to edit text documents, create templates, and automate the creation of tables of content. Proficient in Excel able to use pivot tables, charts, H & VLOOKUP, create spreadsheets, format cells, use formulas and organise data.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of export/ import regulations & good understanding of the Incoterms 2020 and knowledge of duty suspension procedures, licensing requirements, tariffs, rules of origin is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail for handling complex documentation and managing multiple shipments.
  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast- paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple requests. Manage response times effectively.
  • Proactive in overcoming challenges, implementing change and improving SOPs.
  • Strong team player.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
  • Handling dangerous goods shipments by road, sea and air transport and completion of DGN is an advantage.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communicate with internal and external departments in a courteous manner via phone, email, during the meeting calls, as necessary.


Although the job description is not exhaustive, additional tasks may be added based on the needs of the business and the requests of the Import and Export Manager, Supply and Service Manager, Operations Director, or other senior management.
