ICT Systems Engineer

Astute's team are currently recruiting for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to provide technical and operational support across a company's ICT infrastructure, systems and services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to take a senior role, providing technical guidance to Systems Engineers while supporting infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology improvement projects.

The Senior IT Systems Engineer position comes with a salary of up to £45,000.

Role Responsibilities And Key Skills

• Provide senior technical support across ICT infrastructure, systems and business-critical technology platforms.
• Act as a technical escalation point for Systems Engineers, providing guidance, mentoring and coordination.
• Support the ICT Manager with infrastructure development, maintenance, projects and technology improvements.
• Manage and develop company systems, databases and IT solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to IT users across the organisation.
• Support site projects and remote locations with IT technical requirements.
• Manage personnel identification cards, access control and network accounts.
• Support cybersecurity, data protection and relevant IT/security accreditations.
• Liaise with external IT providers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• NVQ Level 3 in Computer Technology or equivalent required.
• Strong experience in database administration, hardware architecture, network management and computer security.
• Competent Microsoft Office user with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience handling confidential and commercially sensitive information desirable.
  
  

Location, salary and package:

• Salary up to £45,000
• 37.5 hours per week
• Overtime available at time and a half, with double time for Sundays and hours above 60 per week
